(The code) says if you're going to put the safety and health of the public in this facility, you will do this if you're going to get a building permit. I take pride in helping people but we can't design buildings for them.

That's absolutely not true. I apologized if we weren't communicating well ... but there is not a single thing on there that's not a code requirement.

It's unfortunate. This is something I do as a last resort because we really want to see these houses completed.

There's certainly not anything on there that would stop the project.

People think we ask for too much information or are too stringent, but we don't offer any apologies because we don't ask for anything more than the state code requires.
